Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use Presenter’s View?
No. Please be prepared for this.
What if I don’t know how to set up the auto timing on my slides?
Don’t worry about the 15 second timing on the slides if you don’t know how to do it – we can set that up for you.
What size should my slides be?
1024 pixels × 768 pixels or 16:9.
What if I use fancy fonts?
If you use a font outside of the standard Mac fonts and you want to ensure to maintain the design of your slides, you’ll want to flatten all your slides. To do this:
- On both Powerpoint and Keynote you will Save As > Images or Export To > Images. This action will create a folder with individual images of each of your slides.
- Create a new blank presentation.
- Select all of the images in the folder and drag them to the blank presentation. This will create a new slide for each flattened image.
If you have trouble with steps 2-3, please send the exported image folder (as a compressed .zip file) and our organizers will take it from there! If you have any questions about this, we are here to help you.
