What is Ignite Denver?

Ignite Denver is a show of speakers giving a series of speedy presentations. Each presenter gets 5 minutes and 20 slides that automatically change every 15 seconds. The Denver community gathers three times a year to support and encourage public speaking in a low risk environment. The shows are fun, engaging and includes a food truck & drinks. Who runs Ignite Denver?

Speaker FAQs

Who can speak at Ignite Denver?

Anybody can speak at Ignite Denver! We love having a variety of speakers at each show and encourage everybody to submit a spark if they are interested in speaking! We ask that after speaking at Ignite Denver, you sit out one show to cheer on other speakers before submitting another spark.

How much time do I need to commit to speak at Ignite Denver?

The time commitment to speak at Ignite Denver includes: Time on your own creating/perfecting your talk, 2 Run Throughs and the show. Time on your own to perfect your talk may take 1-2 hours a week for a month leading up to the show. The Run Throughs take place on Monday nights 6-8pm. The Run Throughs will be scheduled for the two Mondays preceding the show, not including the Monday of the week of the show (3rd and 2nd Monday preceding the show). The night of the show we ask speakers to arrive at 5:30pm (show at 7pm) and stay until the end of the show.

What is the process of becoming an Ignite Denver speaker?

The first step to becoming an Ignite Denver speaker is filling out a spark form, which can be found at the SPEAK tab on our website. After all spark submissions are received, you (and the Ignite Denver community) will receive a voting form. All spark submissions will be voted on and curated by the Ignite Denver Committee. When voting closes, the chosen speakers will be contacted via email by the Committee and the list of speakers will be announced.

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers can help with any area of expertise that they have! Volunteers are always needed for the night of the show!

When do I need to be available as a volunteer?

It depends on where you are volunteering. For volunteers on the night of the show, you need to be available from 5-8pm on the show date. Please reach out to for more information.
